The good news is that you can find within yourself the resources to keep going for a long time, even when you are:

  • tired,

  • stressed,

  • disconnected from yourself,

  • in a job you no longer enjoy,

  • or in toxic relationships

And the bad news...well...

The bad news is that you can find within yourself the resources to keep going for a long time, even when you are:

  • tired,

  • stressed,

  • disconnected from yourself,

  • in a job you no longer enjoy,

  • or in toxic relationships

In fact, the question is not so much "Can you handle these conditions?" Because yes, YOU CAN.

I myself have held on for a long time with half-empty batteries, even just on a purely physical level.

For example, a few years ago, after the birth of my son, I didn't have a full night's sleep for 11 months. It was tough...

But despite the lack of sleep, I kept going and managed to take care of things on a daily basis...

To that, I added demanding interviews to change jobs. Those interviews lent me another executive job and were followed by a trial period where I was highly committed and did not held back.

And I'm far from being the only one who's capable of functioning or even rocking it with a minimal level of sleep or non-existent self-care.

By the way... If you're a mom of children who don't sleep (yet)... A big shoutout to you. It gets easier, I promise.

So you see... you can very well hold on in difficult or stressful situations by drawing on your physical and mental resources.

That's not the question. The real question is : How much longer will you hold on by depleting your resources... When you use your energy to :

  • Deal with permanent and chronic stress?

  • Fight against the parts of yourself that call for change, professionally or personally?

  • Silence those other parts that scream that they can't take it anymore?

  • Justify the behaviour of those you deem toxic for you?

And just as importantly... While you go through your turbulent times... "What are you doing to take care of yourself and replenish those precious resources?"

This can be as simple as:

  • Taking 10 minutes a day to go for a walk in the evening, to read, meditate or journal

  • Dedicated 1 hour a week to move your body

  • Calling or seeing friends

In short, anything that really feels good, connects you to yourself or others, and recharges your energy levels.

And it can also be as simple as dedicating 1 hour a week in coaching with me to:

  • Help you deal with your stress here and now

  • Proactively create a plan to reduce it sustainably tomorrow

  • And to design and create a life where you thrive and not just survive

Just because you CAN hold on like this doesn't mean you SHOULD or that you SHOULD do it alone.
